Silicone oil is any liquid polymerized siloxane with organic side chains. They have relatively high thermal stability. They have no odor or taste and they are non toxic. They are non-flammable.

Applications :

• It is widely used in Industries as a Lubricant

• In manufacturing emulsions
• In construction Industry as lubricatant
• Mould release agents for plastics and rubber components during their manufacture.
• To provide softness and soothing finish and luster in textile industry for the cloth .
• Silicone oil is used in clays and silly putty.
• It is used as a hydraulic oil in aircraft as it has anti-shear properties.
• This oil is used in laboratories in heating baths.
• The refrigerants added in freezing machines also contain silicone oil.
